HOLIDAYSSS!!! ARE.STARTING!!!!!

Fri Nov 27, 2009, 3:09 AM
My exams are over, and the semester break is before me. Well, i know for sure that i'm going to fail one paper, though if by miracle luck... well, i will not push it. *sigh*

This month will be a month of changes. Even in Deviantart. So keep in touch :)
Thank you to all my watchers and those who like the art here. Been the source of my strength. *candy floss to you all*

I missed AFA's May'n's concert due to studying for exam the next day, but i'm sure she gave one hell of a performance. Especially since Macross frontier movie has came out in Japan, I believe she will have more concerts going on. And... to think this movie is heading to SherylXAlto. Not that I don't like the pairing but i prefer RankaXAlto more. Still, lets see where this goes i guess. :)

Lastly, to end this once more short entry, Happy Thanksgiving guys. :)

Never before have I felt so Empty...

Tue Sep 29, 2009, 4:13 AM
Ever since I took another path from what my parents wanted me to do to my heart's desire, I kept on questioning myself, where shall i go next?

Being in University, that feeling grew larger each day, and I beginning to feel suffocated by that empty, heavy weight in my heart. Its taking a toll on me and I stopped concentrating on my assignments and perhaps even in my interests.

I always look out from my window and to the sky. Perhaps searching for an answer. My desire to go on a soul searching journey grew since I was a teenager. But one thing is for sure, I will never stop drawing. *laugh* It has become such an important part of my life.

Have to thank Star Trek, esp the movie version. Without it, I will never come out with the current style now that i enjoyed using and meet ST fans and artists here in DA. Not only that, the message: "To Go boldly where no one has gone before" rang in my head ever since i first saw TOS and even the movie.
Never regretted of my obsession. No. One of my main goal/dream is to see a ST convention actually. Will fulfill it soon (hopefully by the time i earn enough money the convention is still there *cross finger*)

I shall stop posting works here in Deviantart, until i find what i'm searching for. But I will check on the account now and then and chat with you guys :)
Thank you guys for everything so far.

PS If i am to do comics and publish them, be it original or fancomics, will you be interested to read or even buy?

*laugh*

Til then, may the force be with you all artists.

God is with me in Kinokuniya Yesterday.. (Edited)

Sat Sep 12, 2009, 10:03 AM
Yesterday at Kinokuniya while waiting for my part time work to start, I couldn't believe what i saw with my own eyes. I was stunned when I saw it in front of me.

[link]

Yes it is folks, Star trek, Manga version by Tokyopop!
I couldn't believe it at all! I mean, so far in my entire life in going to Kino, I have never, EVER saw any comics of Star trek. Not only that, there's only one copy on the shelf, proudly standing there at the front, glistering under the warm light, waiting.

I was screaming in my mind as I shakily held it in my hands and only one thought crossed my mind.

BUY!

And I did, and that day, I bought it with other books like FLIGHT, JACK DOE, and Voices of teh Distant Star. Didn regret spending. *shines in delight*

And so this is my thought of the Star trek manga after reading.

Firstly, its a tribute to TOS and a collection of comics of fans' favorites. all together there are 8 stories and they are all amazing in plot.

The art is pretty good esp the 1st story,

[link]
and is in COLOR for th first 18 pages or so!
Not only that, the sounds effects are IN japanese. Amazing....

Scenes from other chapters' art

(This story is also good too :) )

My favorite parts of the entire book:
[link]
Yes folks, Mr. Spock's head transforms to a cannon for Kirk to use!
The power of SPORK!

[link]
Ah... The trio's bond can never die...

Spock feeling the power and dominance.

[link] (edited)
Oh the effects of one telepathic teddy bear, yes a teddy bear, and the crew being emotional...
And yes, Jim means it. *laughs*

The aftermath of the entire fiasco:

Oh Spock...

One thing to say, thank you God for guiding me to this. It seems my destiny to be a Trekkie for life has rooted deep in my soul becuase of this incident.

I dunnoe if Tokyopop has published this around America and other countries (i'm sure they have already did so), So those who don't have this in your collection, check out tokyopop's area and get it! *smile*

And til then, signing off!

PS Thanks to all who are watching me and enjoyed my works. Love you guys!

DISTRICT 9 F****** RULE no kidding

Fri Aug 21, 2009, 11:02 AM
yesterday night, more like 5 hours ago, my family and I went to the cinema to watch District 9, the film by Neill Blomkamp and Peter Jackson. Two words to say, F****** Awesome. Although its rather unsightly for girls to swear in compliments and all, but this film deserves it.

One thing that attracted to me most of the movie when the trailer appeared is the way it was filmed and its cast and story. Firstly the film. Its done in like a documentary style, with moving cameras and people talking to the camera like you see of TV interviews.

Which is the style of the director. If you see his other short films esp. the original short of District 9, you will understand why Peter Jackson is interested. Not only his films are thought provoking, his take on storytelling and directing is unique.

The cast is not made up of big shots stars, but instead rather ordinary looking people who we never seen before, and they gave a hell realistic and emotional performance. Which i gave my thanks to as i sat through the credits.

The story... I rather not spoil it for you if you haven watched it but, this one movie is one you will regret not seeing. I dun know how to describe the feelings that i felt as i watched from beginning to end....

Shock, disgust, surprise, awe, heart wrenching, sadness, and yet symphathy.

So many emotions rushed through me as i watched District 9, some scenes where the audience should not have laughed i heard laughter, i could not help but feel a slight anger to them for doing so. I thought, That man in this show has his fate turned with this new frightening revelation on him and so many things happened, why should we laugh? I know its unreal, but still, what if this is real?

In the movie, the power of the media is shown rather well, and where the source of infomation people take, some are not even true. So what is the truth and what is a lie? The line of it is so thin and we as humans, can easily be swayed by the media, by greed, for power for our own survival and benefit.

For the man to be turned against by the one company and the world's media, how frightening and lonely that can be... No one can comprehend that feeling unless one experience it.

*laugh wearily* honestly, where does humanity stands? We do things, but the consequence of it, will it be unto others or unto self? Where does our own strength and morals lies? Many questions will be raised in the movie.

One thing is for sure, District 9 is definitely placed in my top 3 favorite all time movies. *raise fist in air*
